Minigolf - The Forest - Mystery hole by hole 18? - Picture

This is one of those curiosity situations that I must know the answer to as it will keep me up at night wondering :3

I have played the Forest map several times and you go right over it on the hole with the ski-lift system. No signs there either or it linking up to anything and you never play on a course like that

What is the purpose of this hole exactly in the red circled area?

That hole is a reference to the original map from GMod Tower. It was a practice area. In GMod Tower minigolf you could practice until everyone was ready - which may return to Tower Unite someday.
