Minigame Course MAJOR UPDATE #3 - Escaping Myself

So this is probably my biggest update yet, it contains 3 things I personally have never seen in a condo before. Regrettably it’s not a video update this time round as all the footage I recorded vanished.

1. BUNNY HOPPING
Whilst it still isn’t technically possible to normally bunny hop in game (something i’d love to see implemented) in Chapter 13 you’re able to boost yourself off the trampoline and if timed correctly bunny hop off the orange platform, giving you more than 2x the jumping distance you’d have normally.

2. Passing through walls
If you set a canvas statue to always follow you it becomes a wall without collisions, if you place this in a very tight/narrow hallway it becomes hard to decipher that it’s a fake wall.

3. Hidden messages only seen by flashlight
Tower Unite has a funny way of handling contrast, if anything is almost black it makes it pure black and the flash light itself is insanely bright, this allows you to make walls that appear completely black like this

but when the flash light is aimed at them can contain hidden messages like this :

I’m even working on a level based around this :

FLAVOR/THEME
I’m putting a lot more work into the overall aesthetic of each level, here’s some screenshots of what’s to come.

LOBBY REDESIGN
Lobby has been completely redone and opened up.

NIGHT TIME LIGHTING
Lighting has been reworked for night time, ideally I’d like the final map to run only in night-time mode as this gives me better control of the lighting.

Yes I’m a bit of a weeb when it comes to her heh :stuck_out_tongue:
I edited her hair and eyes to make her slightly distinct.

Well, i would try to play this if i know when does it open (proably mostly at midnight for me)

Actually when I have it more finished I was hoping to organize a date where I run it 24/7 for a day

Nice!

WOW this is a lot different from the last time I saw one of your threads. Very creative. Can’t wait to see it in game.

you are a god

The main thing holding me back prior was in game money, luckily I have been quite fortunate in this regard which has enabled me to expand my scope

Thanks everyone for the kind comments!

you’re gonna turn TU in a whole new game when the I/O thing comes out!

Haha maybe if I have the time ^.^*
I’m still a little confused about what the I/O system actually entails.
All that I can find on the trello page is
“Connect condo items like buttons to open doors or do other crazy stuff.”

Just gets more and more badass…
Keep it up!

A bit of an example to help out would be Minecraft and its redstone system. You could for example configure a button to turn on/off a light. It’s in its most simple form a wiring system (and apparently they have some good plans for this, and items to add for future use of this system). You could do a lot with your game and the I/O system, but it isn’t planned to be out any time soon.

And wow, nice work. Almost looks like it isn’t in TU. Makes it feel like some puzzle gamemode that would lie in Garry’s Mod. But the fact that you’re making all this with the tools TU provides, really, great work.

oh hey it’s me spilot/floaty goat
so much lighting! also it looks so good now

noice!

The medieval level looks nice!
