Change the space that separates the steps on the stairs

I got this idea, after getting into little trouble while building in my condo.

Basically, with the help of a little switch, you would be able to change the width that separate each steps.

Here’s a drawing of the idea. (sorry for the poor drawing quality)

So you could have a really sloping stair, or a relatively flat one.

Was always thinking of this, but forgot about it because I just decided to find workarounds, or build my own stairs.
A feature like this would be nice, pls add
