It was said at one point (I don’t remember whether it was here or on the Discord), but Minigolf gets a lot of map attention because Pixeltail has far more artists than they do programmers, so while the programmers are working on big stuff like the casino, weapon prediction, and reworking Ball Race, the artists can still work on things like maps for Virus, Little Crusaders, and Minigolf.

If our artists aren’t working on something because they are waiting for programming, they will work on a new map because they can get that content out to you now instead of later. We can make Minigolf maps because Minigolf is already shipped and part of the game.

I see no issue when a map doesn’t delay anything else. Matt, for example, was working on his Minigolf map, but I needed his help with Bowling artwork and he instantly stopped work on the map to help me.

This actually increases development overall and gives you more content quicker.

Also, Steffen is the one working on the candy map by himself. He is done with his other work and he wanted to work on a passion project of his.

I’ve also tried making something like this in Garrysmod a while ago using PAC but I could never get it to work properly. Could never properly align the text faces up properly, nor could I get any of them to toggle so I could easily switch between faces. Maybe I’ll give it another go sometime.
