[0.4.1.0] Alpine has crazy lag in cave

i have set all me settings to low and i have set the resolution scale to 1 and i get 11 fps in the cave whereas i used to get 23 with full resolution and ultra settings (please note the version and fps differences in the corners)

Please fix, it turned my favorite map into my least favorite map.

Have you tried adjusting the draw distance setting?
