Steam: [fruzstrated](https://steamcommunity.com/id/fruzstrated) Workshop: [Steam Workshop::The Midwinter Express](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3407613335) I wrote a poem for my train. * * * ## _The Midwinter Express_ _In the middle of winter_ _late into night_ _A train traveling northward_ _barely in sight_ _The great roar of the engine_ _whistle aloud_ _Clacking of wheels and steel track_ _driving through clouds_ _Free ginger bread and pastries_ _cocoa in mug_ _Dressed up for the holidays_ _cozy and snug_ _As The Midwinter Express_ _nears it’s station_ _The passengers disembark_ _with elation_ _When next the express depart_ _Why not hop on and take part_ * * * This was a lot of work, but i’m really happy with it. The map is built without workshop models. There is one custom texture and some custom sounds. My steam profile: [Steam Community :: the wizard](https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198994354863/) Link to condo itself: [Steam Workshop::A Wizarding Yuletide](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3394004159) Info: Very much inspired by the likes of Harry Potter, as evident by the big hogwarts castle in the background lol. I’m not too sure on what else I should add to the condo without making it all seem cluttered and whatnot, so I decided to just submit it now. It’s not a very physically large condo, but I did try to make it look as nice as I can. 2 months of contest period & only 6 entries? Only 51 votes?! It’s obvious that making the thing last that long lead to people outright forgetting about it. Hell my community alone has over 200 people in it and even over 75% of them couldn’t be bothered to participate. The voting period was also ridiculously short considering how long the entry period was. Hopefully this format is not repeated in the future. Congrats to the winners. ---

Tacking on to this, I think it really didn’t help that there was no notification on the main menu saying to vote for the condo contest, which led to similar results of last year’s Winter Condo Contest—not a lot of entries and not nearly as many votes. Personally, I didn’t enter the condo contest since I (correctly) predicted that the vote form wouldn’t be put in the main menu in favor of the Birb plush’s place. I’ve never seen more than one ad space be used in the Main Menu, so I assumed that it just wasn’t going to be possible during the voting period. Considering [last year’s Winter Condo Contest](https://forums.pixeltailgames.com/t/winter-2023-condo-contest-winter-festivity/49113/10) had a similar length in both submission time and voting time with not much else of a difference in posting for votes, I can’t say I’m ultimately surprised by the vote count not being too different. I just hope that next year these problems—at least on the voting side of things can be addressed. Congratulations to entrants who did participate! 🎉 ---
