Why Was bugbot Renamed bot?

I was looking through old threads and I found bugbot, but he is named bot now, and also has a robot TF2 Medic avatar (Oh, it’s the Green Giant Giant) (I mean The Iron Giant Giant, sorry I’m tired). Why is this?
