Why do some textures not have world align support?

I noticed that some really nice textures in the game dont have world align support. I just was wondering, why doesn’t every texture have WA? Is it because of the shaders on certain textures, does it depend on if they are animated? Is it because every texture has to be manually adjusted to support WA? The rules don’t seem to be 100% consistent from what I can tell.

For example, what’s so different about the “Old Plaster” texture that it means it’s the only plaster that doesn’t have WA?

Why don’t “Chrome” and “Smooth Metal” have WA? If it was a shader issue, how come the other shiny textures support WA?

World Align materials have to be manually created and tweaked to be world aligned, so some just haven’t had them setup yet.
