What decided who is host in a game world queue?

Wondered this as it’s never the first person to join the queue.

Currently, it’s whoever has the best ping to the lobby server.

Preferably i would prefer it be the first to join the queue.

What if they have a terrible connection? That game will be awful and unplayable.
Best ping to the server is the best solution for now.

Also, people could just troll by being the first in a queue and immediately disconnecting once the game starts. Not a good idea.

I believe the devs are trying to implement a system where the clients ping each other to determine who has the best ping relative to everyone else, and that person would be the host. Not sure when that’s going to happen, though.
