# Weird gloss/waxy texture to the pumpkins

I didn’t see any other threads on the pumpkin textures, so I think this might be the right place to bring it up.

It also doesn’t feel like a bug to me, if you look at them.

I don’t think that looks so good, and it makes dark halloween maps look odd. Ideally, a more matte texture would make lighting look better on the pumpkins and would make the detail on the texture more meaningful.

It’s just a suggestion, but thank you for tuning in.

i can barely see anything in that picture tbh but i remember that i also felt like the pumpkins were too shiny for my liking

i beefed up the brightness in paint, should be easier to see it

Well, the summer update came and went, and it seems the pumpkins remains glossy.  
Any news on the change/fix?

They are rougher than they were before. Pumpkins in real life are glossy.

THAT much? i’ve never seen a pumpkin glow with the sunset, it’s not varnish.
