w/e floats your boat dude, I’m not gonna bother reading w/e you’ve typed to try and get the upper hand and win in a discussion that noone gives a shit about lmfao.
You are doing it as well
End of the topic
Because I’m not wrong for having a different opinion than you do!!
For crying out loud you’re like this little teenage kid that wants to have the last say and wants to be right even through it’s not a matter of ‘right and wrong’ facepalm
I give up… you’re to much of an idiot.
i don’t read things that are opinions, rants in text are so long and are mostly someone’s opinion
Was making 4 conments in a row really necessary?
Let’s just put the thread to rest now, it begs to be silenced.
Just
stop
These negative reviews are for a game that’s far from complete. Why are we giving them this much attention again?
With a team of this size having a project of this magnitude, I do not wonder why things get pushed back or priorities might change. I bet the team is doing a lot of 18 hour days.
There will always be people who expect a fully functional game in Early Access and/or not doing research before their purchase decision. Trying to change that is a battle you’ve already lost.
I’m optimistic about where things are going at this moment. But if major features would be still missing nearing launch, I’d be with these people. Or if the release gets pushed further and further. Then we can play that DayZ card.
This is my first post using quotes so if anyone knows of a better way of quoting everything and making people get notifications, I’m all ears.
Please ignore this little comment but I have to: Steam is not a person. Valve has written it on a Steam webpage.
Now that this is off my chest: God is usually defined to be a religious entity with properties (In this case the basic existence) that one can argue to be true or false. Early Access is a categorization by a company that is way more artificial, man-made than what religion would call their stuff. Valve can change the definition of Early access or change the concept to address issues like the mentioned DayZ problem. I’d like to see church change god in any way.
As explained in the next paragraphs, not really:
AFAIK nowhere. That doesn’t make it a useful thing to do. Except if you plan on changing the review later which would make it a message to the developers what you want to have - which you could have done by posting in the forums instead of “reviewing” it. But by having the review be negative you’re (by the design of the system) judging the product. This is where Valve steps in and marks your review as Early Access review because it wouldn’t be fair to judge an unfinished product and future readers should know the review doesn’t reflect the current experience.
So in the end, why not accept the product is in Early Access, understanding it’s not done yet but in active development, deciding the feature set is what you want it to be before buying it (Involves informing yourself about the current state which is very easy in this case because of transparent development.) and then taking part in the development by communicating in the forums? You can still review it negatively once you’re sure the developers aren’t going to address the issue and you can refund it if you see the development going in the wrong direction. This shouldn’t really happen that often in the current refund system though because if you bought in Early Access you have to expect the game to change (For example the menu system gets negative feedback and is completely replaced by better UX) and either you haven’t informed yourself enough or the time you use the product to influence your decision exceeds the refund limit.
I’m going to repeat this point because I think it’s part of why this discussion is so long: A review is criticizing with a judgement attached, a forum post is just the criticism.
Right now, I know of no feature of GMTower has been “removed” from TU. That’s like saying you’ve removed all the chapters when you start a second draft of a novel.

Just because other developers exploit Early Access to make money while developing a game that in the end won’t have been worth the investment (DayZ has been mentioned) doesn’t change the definition of a thing. In this case written down by Valve on a Steam Webpage, doesn’t get much more official than that. If we’re gonna start the topic of whether or not Early Access works as advertised, this is a Steam problem. In TU so far, it works. Except on the user side, according to this thread.
I assume you’re trying to say bold text is a way of shouting online or some other kind of impolite talk. I simply don’t understand why you would choose to ignore text even if the reason not to do so was explained earlier:
@Schnipple
So you enter a thread part of which you choose to ignore just to tell somebody else he should stop posting?
(I won’t quote other posts not contributing to the topic. Some of them seem to be “I’m posting in this thread to prove I don’t care about this thread anymore.”)
For you there might be no reason for him to edit it but apparently he feels like it helps others understand his point better. I will not comment on how well this works.
Probably because we love TU and wish for it to score best on Steam…
You don’t need to @ me to see your thing.
WE SAID END OF THE TOPIC THANKS TO NO REPLY
I just hate seeing people getting into shitposting when they just talk past each other. Which I think happened in this thread so I tried to clear some things up.
I’d like to clarify my comment about negative reviews a bit. I don’t think all of them are unjustified.
