I understand there will probably never be real item gifting/trading because of RMT problems, so how about temporary gifts instead?
Like, someone could buy a box of donuts, bouquet of flowers, six pack of beer, bucket of frogs, greeting cards, etc., and can hand them out to other players in the lobby or condos. They only last until the receiver eats, uses, sends animals home, whatever or until they quit the game.
Just think it would be cool if there was some amount of gifting available.
