Unfortunately, this is not entirely fixable. When sounds go out of range, they stop playing altogether. There currently isn’t an option in the engine to prevent that (there is in later versions, though). The problem is sounds stop to save CPU. Playing sounds constantly is pretty CPU heavy, so the engine optimizes it by just stopping the sound, which will cause it to have to resume from the beginning.

A better fix for this scenerio would be a Soundscape Volume, which is in the works. It would make it so you can play sounds in the volume, instead of locational based.
