Don’t know if it’s just me, but I really want to be able to have some of the pets (specifically the orbiting moon/blood moon) floating directly above my player’s head instead of floating at the side.
Maybe instead of a slot, you can edit the pet item and decide which location: left, center, right, behind

Was gonna post something similar about this. Especially for the moon/blood moon, they take up a lot of space, similar with other pets they will cover most of your top half, basically hiding your face (glasses/hat). So possibly the ability to edit the different formation of your pets. Such as what Mac posted, maybe four to the left and right, 2 above and 2 below, or a line of pets following behind you, or above you, etc. Would definitely be a nice feature, and could allow pets to follow you however you desire.
