Non-Collision Models Causes High Performance Loss

Hi. I am creating some detailed “non-collision” models in this days. However, there are serious performance drops when transferred to the game. As I understand, this is happening because the graphics engine tries to calculate all internal and external shadows.

As you see in the video, when the shadows disappears with the changed environment conditions, performance increases. I think this problem will be solved if the option to disabling model shadows is added in workshop editor. So the creators select this option before uploading if they think model will cause performance issues. Please consider this suggestion. Thank you

That’s true we did some test and it’s a problem maybe a cause of the “fatal error” if condo got lot of models like this

the workshop items aren’t really optimized, but im sure they can be soon™
