Leveling/XP System

I guess but I also mentioned other things. I think the whole leveling system is more for MMORPGs not plain MMOs

I prefer luck-based items behind catsacks rather than enforce levelling just to get items.
Newer players may get the items many desire 2 hours in, which in my opinion is a better way to go about as then everyone is on a similar playing field and doesn’t feel burdened to play hours upon hours just to reach to a milestone, and then upon reaching that point. Where to then?

Putting things behind units is good because then the player can make their own milestones to get items to build their plaza and bragging rights.

A levelling system in TU wouldn’t really work in my opinion, it’s a social game after all.
And personally I don’t want to see [IDLEBOT #35] sat in plaza just unlocking things by leaving his computer on over-night.
And yes there is a playtime generator for rewarding players for playing ‘? amount of time’ so in a way people who don’t gamble or grind still have a chance to get things they desire, which is perfect.

I really like this idea actually! Like style points or something. Maybe they would show up next to your condo on the server list, or maybe the owner of the condo would get a little green up arrow for every 5 or 10 “likes” they get. Some kind of trophy to display along with the trophies (i’m guessing) will come out in the future!

There will be leveling up in gameworlds that will give you milestones (like the ball race ball).

I really dislike the idea of artificially limiting what players can do/ buy.
Plus, badges are going to have their own XP and levels.

We are planning a similar system.

EXP (official title pending) can be earned by playing games and activities passively and by getting achievements. Each game has its own EXP meter. You could have 6,000 EXP for Minigolf, thus earning the badge of Tour Pro, but only 50 EXP for Virus (Zombie Bait). As you earn EXP, every so often you earn a milestone (3 or so milestones each Game World). The badges would be viewable on your in-game profile and on the scoreboard. We are thinking about a Legendary store that unlocks when you reach a certain EXP, but it hasn’t been fully discussed (and there are flaws with this store idea).

Condo voting sounds like a dumb idea to me, people will probably vote on their friends condos and no one elses.

I think the only way Condo voting can work is it all the votes are positive. You can either heart the condo and rate it for its creativity, fun, or style.

I dont think all of these are good.
Play-Time? Why? so people will just leave TU open while doing other sh!t to EASILY level up!
The item winning… not a good idea either…it would limit TUs creativity.

Thats not so bad…but there should be atleast more badge stages such as these:

Rock
Copper
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Diamond
Ruby
ANTIMATTER

He never said anything about playtime. I think earning XP “passively” means getting it in the same way you get units- for actually doing stuff, like getting kills, collecting melons, etc

Not really, we’re talking few items per gameworld. (plus the Legends store, but it seems that it only needs to be unlocked once per activity)

I’d rather have the badges be themed after the activities they’re rewarded for

Something like how Cs:go’s commend system works I’m guessing. How the player can be given a rating of being friendly, team leader, or a good teacher and the amount of those ratings show up next to the players name card when right clicked. For TU these ratings would most likely be visible on the player info card accessible from the scoreboard I would imagine.

I plan to have leveling for pretty much every game. You can level up in Laser Tag, Bowling, Casino, Arcade, etc. However, Game Worlds have 3-4 milestones, the Lobby games may only have 1 or 2.
