Coming from GMod Tower, the golf balls in Tower Unite just feel so heavy. Like even on max hit they seem a bit slow. This kind of seems unrealistic, and I would like to see that the balls are a bit less heavy. Thanks!
While they don’t feel heavy for me, there is just something wrong about the ball physics for sure. I think it feels a bit linear and pre-done already. In GMTower, the ball felt much more free and unpredictable, here it feels like the road of the ball is already pre-determined (it IS predetermined, but in Tower it atleast didn’t feel like so).
Unrealistic? Dude we play a golf course in the sky being held up by wind turbines then we roll our Golf balls over the turbines (which are somehow still suspended) that allow us to fly over the land.
Then we could hop on over to space and use a teleport device while we play as golf balls that have Hats that stay perpetually in the same place.
But I think the weight on the golf ball is fine and doesn’t feel heavy and/or slow at all and I don’t think we need a change.
There’s a difference between realistic psychics and realistic landscapes
There are 4 levels of realistic minigolf physics:
Real Life: Self explanatory.
Tower Unite: A little off.
Gmod Tower:
Much more interesting, while stable.
Golf With Your Friends: HOLY FUCK SLIW DOWN I BARELY HIT YOU
There’s a reason why I don’t play Golf With Your Friends anymore.
I’m personally fine with the minigolf ball physics we have currently. It is a huge step up from GMT’s minigolf ball physics as they feel more realistic (the ball doesn’t need to be shot up a hill two to three times with full power to reach the top, for example). Changing up the physics is more trouble than it’s worth, especially since it wastes development time and forces every player to relearn how to play Minigolf, not to mention the potential for maps to break with modified physics.
I’d leave changed physics to the Upgrades store.
The physics are fine. Way better than GMT’s ever were. More realistic too. Sounds like you’re asking for the ability to hit the ball harder instead.
