As of the time I’m writing this, the Steam servers are under maintenance and therefore people can’t get units from game worlds and buy or sell items. However, since there’s no in-game notice, people don’t know what’s happening, leading to confusion (also people probably feel cheated for not getting units for that HiO or something). It seems pretty necessary, not right now, but maybe later.

Yeah I just had this happen to me. Did 8 rounds of Virus and the amount of units I had stayed the same. I hope they fix this soon.
