When ice melts, it drips off of surfaces. As it’s dripping, the water clinging to the surface freezes. The water dripping off of the frozen drip then freezes as well. Over time, these form into icicles.
So, why do the icicles in tower look like this?
Icicles should always point in the direction that water drips, AKA the direction of gravity, AKA DOWN.
Ideally, you should be able to change the rotation of the icicles in the edit menu. I could see some creative uses for that. Maybe also the frequency and scale of them would be nice too.
(Ok, upon further research, icicles wouldn’t form on the roof I put the FX string on in the picture. But my point still stands.)
