I think this would be nice and fun to play around with and useful for some edge cases. Not expecting full 88 note range or anything, but at least having the ability to play a sound effect using any program you want would be cool.
For example, playing the Crowd Applause SFX Sound Emitter when I hit any key while the Applause MIDI Instrument is selected.
