I posted these in part of a suggestion thread I made for improvements to highrise but since these are actual bugs/issues I’m reposting them here for visibility.
The light fixtures in highrise basement had their textures broken several updates ago. They also can’t be disabled like other map-based light fixtures in the condo.
And finally, the highrise pool’s lights cannot be edited, and automatically come on at night instead. This can cause them to bleed into spaces built over the pool which is less than ideal.
The Upper Cabinet item has an option to remove the frame inside it
But for the Upper Cabinet Shelf item theres not an option to remove the frame (Despite being literally the same item without the door)
The movie projector’s smaller reel gradually moves while it spins. It takes a bit of time for it to move off-center but given half an hour or more it becomes noticeable and after a couple hours (as seen here) it’s very off-center.
The projector shown is the ‘KWares’ version but it’s possible the OG milestone item suffers from the same issue.
Also, more of an annoyance rather than a nitpick, but could this menu be ordered as: [Edit] [Dequip] [Sell]
I keep unequipping stuff when I want to Edit them.
I think the “Binder” item could use a touching up. It is extremely rudimentary, near textureless faces, with sharp edges. The inside area is just a blurry image with no normal maps.
Also, the new-ish wood materials on some old objects is very obviously mirrored and it’s kind of painful.
A quick fix would be maybe to mirror the texture vertically as well.
The throwable “Hotbar Gnome” does not follow the naming conventions of other similar hotbar-based projectile weapons, suggest renaming it to Throwable Gnome instead, and left mouse action seemingly does nothing
Similarly, a whole slew of projectiles spawned by hotbar-based weapons do not share consistent collision and physics rules
This could be a bug, but no longer being able to click “Talk” until the NPC has finished speaking is very frustrating. There are plenty of reasons someone might want to skip through the messages.
