I know that it is not confirmed yet, (if so, could someone give me a link?) but if fishing was implemented, we should have where you would throw your bobber, and turn out with a non-fish item to add some humor of some sort. For example: a tin can, a boot, a clothing item, etc. Again, I don’t know anything about fishing, or if it will even will be a feature. So here is a quick suggestion if it IS implemented. 
The literal description for the Fishing option on the Poll said that it was a great way to earn fish and items, so I would assume that would mean you would fish up items.
