I selected the “Return to Game Worlds” in the Game Worlds Matchmaking map.

I think its because the game memorizes your previous plaza, if you had not been to a plaza previously in the session it has nowhere for you to go.

If you go to the plaza, then to the gameworld ports, then back to the plaza portal, it will take you back to the plaza you were last on. Same with the condo hub elevator.
