Dev Log for May 4th, 2026

Hello everyone and welcome to the Tower Unite dev log for May 4th, 2026!

Hope you all have been doing great! We’ve been hard at work on Elevator Development along with continuing our Tower Unite bug fixes and Events!

:wrapped_gift: CATSACK PLUSH RE-RUN - 56% Funded!

catsackrerun copy

We have an on-going Makeship campaign! The 2nd edition of the catsack plushy is here, and its 56% funded so far!

We need to get to 100% for the campaign to be funded, so if you’re interested, please check it out and get one for yourself (or a friend)!

The campaign will continue until May 16th, so be sure to order one before then if you’d like to support it!

These campaigns really help with supporting development, and you get a high quality plush in return! :light_blue_heart:

:confetti_ball: NEXT TOWER UPDATE

We hope you all have been having a great time with the anniversary events! We have another round of anniversary goodies coming your way next update, and we also have some continued bug fixes.

The next update will include the Commemorative Anniversary Plate, Party Catsack, Tempura Hat, Tempura Tail, Confetti Player Particle, Confetti Player Trail, Clownsack, Pierrot Hat at the anniversary store! Celebrations will have the new Festival Food Stall, and the Snackbar will have the Tempura Shrimp item!

Festival Food Stall (multiple variations), Tempura Shrimp, Tempura Hat / Tail

In terms of bug fixes, we have fixes for SDNL weapon slots, Ball Race SDK Boost Items, and Condo I/O persistent connection disconnection issues!

The Anniversary Events will go on until May 18th!

:palm_tree: OTHER TOWER PROGRESS

:goggles: VR Progress

VR testing sadly continues to make @macdguy nauseous, but he has been making some progress with controller binding fixes for the various VR controllers! Basically, buttons in VR will be functional. There has also been work done on the cursor, which has been having clipping issues, but we believe we’ve found a solution!

:fishing_pole: Fishing Payout Design

We wanted to give an update on where we’re at with updating some of the payouts and pricing in Tower. @wheezwer has been working on the price adjustment design to try to improve the feeling of fishing. We’re going for an increase to put fishing on par with the average earnings per minute of gameplay in Tower Unite in general.

Some improvements include giving trash a standard price that is always below the earnings for catching actual fish (essentially just making sure fish are never worth less than trash items), organizing the fish into more clear categories under-the-hood so we can better standardize prices, and revising TU’s fish sizing to better reflect real fish sizes, which we’re also using when calculating the sell-prices of fish.

Since adjusting prices can be complicated and really affect gameplay, and we’re deep in Elevator development, we’re working on this redesign at a slower pace so we can be careful when testing it.

If you wanna give any more feedback on the feel of fishing, feel free to do so in the comments here. Every bit of feedback helps!

These are awesome! Can’t wait to get another plate! I’m addicted now! Lol

Nice to see VR is still work on for those want it.

I hope there’s an option to remove player arms. That made me sick weirdly to say. (Thankfully there’s characters like Rayman that fix my issue)

Suggest for Mac, maybe you could purchase OVR Locomotion Effect on Steam. It might help doing things in VR.

SDNL FIXES AGAIN YES!!! I can’t wait to go back to playing Arcade without having to explain why the guns don’t work!

I’ll have to take a look at that, thanks!

The real issue is when I’m fixing cameras in editor, like the rollercoaster, it’s completely busted in editor so it’s instant motion sickness because the camera is wrong. What also happens is I have to take the headset off and on a lot.

Is my Disneyland’s Tencennial Celebration version of Tower Unite, not fitting to the Commemorative Anniversary Plate?

I created it with Canva to celebrate ten years of your game’s release on Steam.

In case you devs are aware of my personal work, here’s my Tower Unite version of Disneyland’s Tencennial Celebration:

Happy to hear that VR is still in development!! Awesome that we’re getting a new player trail as well, always nice to get new ones  Keep the great work up with bug fixes, they’re always appreciated!!!

Those festival food stalls should be very useful for my mall and a few other things.

Will the fishing adjustments also include an XP buff? Because getting the fishing milestone to max was a miserable slog for me. I always felt like that the XP amounts during the double payout events should’ve been the standard amount.

Yes, we also want to take a look into improving EXP earnings for sure!

I had intended to do a Groan Tube but sadly it didn’t make the cut in time.

VRChat? The groan tube has multiple colours, but it was made for VRC+ subscribers (if I hit me from wrong).
