Customization of lighting's reflectivity

While I was comparing condo’s looking in GMT and TU, I noticed one pretty important thing, at least as I feel about it. Condo’s walls/floors/ceilings in TU have pretty noticeable glare the game’s lighting puts on them, and what is troubling in my opinion is that it is same no matter what texture you put on them, while actually wooden and laminate/tiled floors would obviously glare with the reflected light differently.
I don’t know how difficult it would be, but it would actually be awesome if we could customize each surface’s reflectivity level. It would also help to customize various rooms and their ideas, like making a dark room truly dark, without a wall reflecting some light from another room, or not having wooden floor (default condo’s one) being so shiny and such.
