Combine the many redunant plaza servers into one or two per region

as of writing, there are 8 servers for US region and 7 for EU region. only one of those servers tends to be populated with actual players while the rest tend to have a vastly smaller amount or absolutely nobody on them during most of the day.
to show you how deserted those lobby servers are, here’s a screenshot from yesterday with a bit of annotations.

(APAC and AUS regions have been included to complete the list).

my idea is to merge these region servers into two separate servers that will be generally more populated as players will be less spread out. this also has the added benefit of making the lobby seem more alive and more of the less popular activities like laser tag, trivia, and typing derby being played more often.

for example, you’d only keep EU Frankfurt 1 and EU London 1 and remove the excess servers for that region; same logic can be applied to the US region, keep US New York 1 and US San Francisco 1 but chop off the rest.

the only problem with this that i can see is the boost in players after a major update launches, but this could be solved by just opening more servers prior to a major update release or increasing the maximum playercount for those servers.

We often merge and demerge servers based on demand. When the Fishing update came out, we had to add more servers. We can adjust them down again.
