(Ball Race) Pre Load

I checked the general problems and suggestions forum, but couldn’t find anything on this topic.

So, most of you probably know that depending on the host, when starting a ball race round, the host always gets a few sec head start at round start. The waiting time seems to depend on how good your connection to the host is.

My suggestion is a freeze timer.
Maybe 3-4 extra seconds for all players to load up and get ready, so the game is “pre-loaded” when the round starts. I’m wondering if this could help solve the problem?

We already do something similar and recently improved upon it. The issue is not a loading problem, it is ping, as is always the issue in networked games.
