If you’re looking to do remixes, then I’d recommend Sony Acid. It’s expensive but very useful and easy to use.

Try using Audacity. It’s free, but it’s not the easiest to fiddle with. Some soundcloud uploaders use it.

That’s what I’m currently using, but I’m trying to find something a little bit easier to mess around with.
