An Idea For Condo Canvas Performance

This maybe a idea to test out. But how about a performance feature where the canvas can only be loaded only when it is in view of the players camera and once out of the players view, the game completely unloads the canvas from memory. I know this is already done with standard condo items and maybe implementing this for canvas items that are always loaded into ram may help with some performance issues.

I imagine that would create more of a problem than it would a solution. Imagine loading into one of those crazy detailed condos with 1000+ canvases everywhere. I imagine there would be stuttering galore as you look around as a constant wave of loading/unloading of image links occurs. Could also probably lead to a memory leak or something along those lines.


Yeah i agree stuttering would become an issue.
