Duplication via drag and multi select is already out and available.

I can’t find the documentation for either of those anywhere, how do you use those features?

Both multi-select and duplication by dragging are done while using the gizmos/arrows, you can hold alt and drag an arrow to copy an item, and you can shift click items to select multiple
