God.
It’s 0:16 here.
I’m going to a restaurant with my grandmother tomorrow… eh, today.
I haven’t even brushed my teeth yet.
But I still keep browsing random webpages and refreshing this thread each ten minutes hoping to see new updates.
I need to go. Good night friends. Let’s hope there will be new updates when I wake up.
There are always updates

If you can buy hats straight from the appearance tab, doesn’t that render Tower Outfitters a playermodel only store?
Not if you can buy hats at both the appearance tab and Tower Outfitter.
I’d prefer not being able to buy everything right from the tab menu. Players should run around and explore and find things for themselves, if everythings just buyable from a tab menu then the entire plaza will be pretty much empty.
100% agree with this. Buying items in the condo and tab menu kind of ruins the fun.
I’m alright with the hats in the tab menu because the tower outfitters store still has the purpose of buying playermodels. And while you’re there you can get hats in the same transaction. The condo stores are something I’m on the fence about right now.
So. going to your condo in GMT is pretty easy. There’s almost nothing stopping you from running out to the stores real quick and getting some supplies and running straight back to the condo lady and putting your stuff down. It takes maybe two minutes at most. But in Tower Unite, your condo is a seperate entity and isn’t actually in the tower. So you have to switch over to a tower server, buy your stuff and then switch back to your condo. It’s not exactly seamless and buying a couch for your theatre system would take about ten minutes.
So stores in condos? Kinda. 'Cause like, it defeats the purpose of stores in the plaza, but it saves lots of time.
Going back to your condo will be seamless by release. No need to jump out of the server to go into the condo. You will be able to run back and fourth.
I don’t mind this if it’s only used for clothing.
I consider the item shops as a convenience. They save time and may be beneficial to those who take forever connecting from server to server (in this case, from their condo server to the lobby server). I understand that the physical stores themselves might go unappreciated, but they are still useful when returning from gameworlds. I don’t really consider the stores as social gathering places, anyway.
We’ve been thinking about this for awhile. The condo will not have stores. The only store that’s UI only will be the appearance one. It became an issue because when you load up the appearance editor and see no hats and it became a lot harder to explain why the hats are tucked away in some store.
Why not? What’s the reasoning for taking it out?
I see how this would create confusion. Already on the server it’s a common question among new players where to get new “skins” and hats.
Maybe instead of giving the player an option to buy the item in the tab, it pops up an advert for the shop required to buy that item? Or maybe you can order the item from the tab but you have to go to the shop to collect it? Convenience is nice but maybe buying appearance stuff just right from the tab is TOO convenient maybe. Keep players around the plaza and being in the community as much as possible, make it as active and fun as possible.
Would defeat the purpose of the Plaza and make Plaza servers more empty.
But lets say I want to make my condo look a specific way. So I go to the stores in the lobby and get something. Then go back to my condo and then I go “oh, this would look cool over here.” Then I would have to log out and go all the way back to the stores. It’s just a hassle.
We’ll figure it out. Nothing is final.
Its quite a hard thing to fix. There isn’t really a balance between them.
Either the Plaza will be empty, or people will get bored of running back and forth
Personally I’m fine with this.
