The only complaint I have about the music-timed platforms thing in Ball Race is that it would be unplayable for people like me on potato/older computers, because I get really low fps on BR and that would make the timings off and the level impossible to play

If one would get frame rates low enough to get the timings off, wouldn’t Ball Race be a horror to play in general?
Either way, there’s beta testing for that. It’s just a really early prototype.

I don’t see why it would. If it’s based off a timer, all the game has to make sure is that the timers are synced. That would all depend on your connection to the server, which if it couldn’t handle syncing a timer, probably couldn’t handle playing the game mode itself.

I don’t think you understand, so I’ll give you an example.
Let’s say there is a song playing that has 2 beats per second, and your fps drops to something really low like 5 fps. The rate at which each frame is drawn would be so low, that sometimes a platform would appear and disappear within 1 or 2 frames, making it impossible to sync your movement with the level, even though you do have the sound cues to work off of. Also, having a low framerate makes the response time very low, since you cannot react to anything that is happening since only a handful of frames are being drawn.

If you are playing at 5 frames per second, you probably shouldn’t be playing Tower Unite.

Yeah, a poor example because as Caboose said, if your frame rate was so low that the tiles aren’t syncing, then you probably shouldn’t be playing the game. Also, you gotta remember that there has been little to no optimization done to the game. They are aiming for mid to low-end computers being able to run this once its properly optimized and then it wont be a problem at all.

I like the shape of the old, but the ear curvature of A. The old one looks less… bumpy around the ears.
