What is the correct order of operations for solving equations?

In the answers, they show multiplication before division. It is PEDMAS, never PEMDAS!
I’ve never seen the order of operations as PEDMAS instead of PEMDAS until this post.

Did some more googling. Apparently PEMDAS is used in USA. It’s also what Khan Academy teaches. Guess we should stick with PEMDAS as the answer. Apparently Multiplication/Division order doesn’t matter. Those who get the question wrong the first time can just memorize the “correct” answer.
