All eggs spawn way below they’re supposed to. The only obtainable ones are at the boardwalk, as the area below the ground is accessible.
Caboose said there weren’t any issues during testing, so might be a server-based thing.

Actually, This happens when the event starts while your in the arcade.

Can confirm. Same keeps happening to me. If I leave the arcade before the event starts everything is fine. This also affects the treasure of the sea mini-game.
