In the pause menu, Esc is supposed to close it. This works fine on the main pause menu, but once you’re in a submenu like Options, hitting Esc brings up the main pause menu instead of closing the pause menu entirely.
I’m very aware of this. Unreal has serious keyboard focus issues and the UI elements like to take over the ESC key all the time. It’s a matter of finding what UI element is taking focus away from the key. I might just end up changing the ESC key to rule ever every UI element at this rate.
