Im really sorry but i dont see where the bug is supposed to be.
It’s a copy-paste of the dome from the plaza, and it looks really dumb when you notice it.
I don’t understand the bug report.
The dome is there as the idea is that the Game World ports area is all taking place inside of the dome of the Game Worlds ports building.
Right, but this being inwards instead of outwards causes odd reflections and in general it just looks weird.
My man, u outside the map complaining about reflections…
Im really sorry but im sadly still not seeing it, the metal is oriented in the correct direction and the inside of the metal frames point outwards based on the footage and pictures.
L I T T E R A L L Y U N P L A Y A B L E
god…why do i have to make this a meme.
Well, you don’t.
My lady, if you had looked at the original post you’d have seen I posted an image from inside the gameports.
If you don’t believe the metal frame being hallow is a bug, then maybe this should be moved to suggestions. I’ll let a dev decide that.
Would make more sense to put this as a suggestion named “Change the metal frame of the gameport sphere to solid iron bars” or something like that.
Although you could call this a developer oversight if you wanna call it anything.
It does seem a bit weird to me. The way lighting and reflections work when you look at it from the inside. I don’t think it’s a big deal though.
That’s a neato point but why the hell is the outter dome in the plaza not like this, then?
I still don’t even see the problem with it. Plus, why would somebody fly out of the map just to look at some steel beams?
Luckily in this world nothing can be left unanswered if the person looking for it literally has no life, so i got you the answers:
The ball on the plaza building is completely solid because it’s completely inaccesable which meant they had no reason at all to model the inside of it, why use effort on an area or object that no one would ever be able to see the inside of, it would be a waste of time to say make a giant gameworld and then hide the access point to it in a place no one could ever get to ever.
And also Lorgruk, because we needed to find out if it was made with Norwegian metal.
The intention is to only see the sphere from the outside, and it’s positioned correctly from that aspect, so I don’t see the problem here…
I’m actually wondering if this isn’t by design, here’s why.
(disregard the red arrow)
The green arrows I added point to some faces of the mesh that point outwards. Outside faces on an inside-out mesh don’t have a texture; they are invisible. However, you can clearly see that they do have a texture in the picture, which means the faces must have the correct orientation.
You’ll know what I’m talking about if you have at least basic knowledge in 3D modeling, hopefully.
The faces are two-sided on this model.
If that’s the case, then the inwards faces would be missing. Whether that’s an oversight or by design is debatable, but the fact that adding those faces back in would be an easy enough task makes me think that it’s the latter, as far as I’m concerned.
I can see it.
