When you guys first implemented level streaming, I reported a lot of loading issues and well, it’s happening again, only worse this time. The plaza is incredibly laggy, I actually saw nearly every store and gameworld port load into the world (stores and ports were black with a loading icon for a couple seconds), when I went into the casino I was floating in nothingness for a couple seconds, when I went into the elevator to the condo lobby the same thing happened. It’s really bad right now.

The stores and ports with loading screens are intentional. As for the Casino, it does lag a bit when loading in, but the nothingness is part of the non-abusing new doors they added. I have no Idea about the condo lobby.

I know about the door. Not talking about that. After going through the door, theres no walls or floor for a few seconds. Everythings just floating in a gray void of nothingness.

That’s due to how slow the level streams in for you. We plan to have the doors wait until you are ready, which is why we are starting to use those doors.

I wouldn’t think it’d be that slow on a 50mbps connection but I know nothing about it. But that also doesn’t explain the rest of the problems.

Level streaming has nothing to do with your network connection. Level streaming being slow could be your CPU and most definitely your HDD.

Just for this, i plan to get a good SSD, i want to enjoy the game as best as possible, for my future records.
Using a SSD will improve this much ?

Ah, ok. Like I said, I have no idea. Probably is the HDD then. No idea what’s considered fast for an HDD but mine is 7200 RPM. I have been wanting to get an SSD for ages, though.
EDIT: As for the CPU, I’ve got a 3.6 Ghz i7, so it’s not that.
