What am I allowed to do with the content from OpenTDB?

Hey there! OpenTDB is great!

But I’m a little unsure about the “terms of use”. What am I allowed to do with the questions? Am I allowed to save them on my computer? Am I allowed to then use them in my game app online? Sadly, I couldn’t find anything about this on OpenTDB.com - only “Free for commercial use through our API.” but I’m not planning on using the content commercially.

It would be great if you could use something like a license from https://creativecommons.org/ to clear up any misunderstandings. :+1: :+1: :+1:

A possible example would be Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) for example which allows us to use, adapt and share the content while giving attribution to OpenTGB:

Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

Looking forward to hearing from you

Sorry for the late response, you are allowed to use the questions in anyway you see fit, as long as there is attribution.

At some point I’ll get around to putting this information on the main site.

Update: I’m going to update the site, but this is our license. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/
