Hey there sTUd muffins, we’ve got a little update here to address a few things. Being disconnected from Steam should be a lot less frustrating and confusing to everyone from now on.
Also, be sure to check out our latest development blog about our progress with the Casino.

We’ve got the Casino Update coming as quickly as possible, should be out by mid-August.
We’re also preparing our next awesome update, called the Boardwalk Update. The upcoming Boardwalk Update will make some of the most anticipated Boardwalk games fully playable.
Plaza Changes:
- Laser Tag building has been completely remade
- Celebrations building has been completely remade
- Bowling building has been improved, but still under reconstruction
- Fresh building has been improved
- New Monorail station above the stores
Developer Notes: The old Laser Tag building was a quickly made placeholder. We came up with a few concepts with the new building over the months. After the new building was put in, the other buildings needed more detail and texture variants as the Laser Tag building made them feel smaller than they should. The old building was tragically torn down in a construction accident.
Miscellaneous Changes:
- Improved player movement feel in Condo
Developer Notes: The movement friction in the Condos has been vastly improved - meaning walking around will feel more smooth and less like you’re on sticky paper.
- Improved look of hair on characters models
- Clothing and hair on player models no longer shine like they are wet
UI Changes:
- Added difficulty tags to Ball Race map selection
Developer Notes: Finding a Ball Race map that meets your skill level was always a blind decision. Now with the tags, players can easily understand what they’re about to jump into.
- Each Game World now has their own sub menu to make creation of servers a little more easier
Developer Notes: The change to the Game World menus should help newer players find things more naturally. We found through playtesting & feedback that the create button was not obvious enough.
- More informative loading screens
- Units will now display “OFFLINE” when Steam is unavailable instead of 0
- When Steam is offline, the user will be presented with a dialogue that explains why the game doesn’t work without - Steam
- Friend list will now say if you couldn’t connect to Steam networks
- Vending Machine now has use prompt
Item Changes:
- Outside Chair is now colorable
- Closed Cardboard Box is now colorable
- Stairs are now colorable
- Increased character limit on Notebook from 500 to 1000 characters
- When you drink Wine or Margarita, it removes the liquid properly now
Optimizations:
- Optimized the main menu level, improving FPS overall
- Reduced VRAM usage on Plaza (around 120MB less in most areas)
- Optimized icon resolutions (lowers VRAM usage quite a bit! 135MB less VRAM usage to be exact!)
Fixes:
- Fixed media input box not letting you type into it
- Fixed getting drunk leaving the DOF effect on forever
- Fixed player name tags being massive white blocks when first spawning
- Fixed being able to open the Notebook multiple times
