Today we’re releasing new maps for Ballrace, Minigolf, and Virus as well as many improvements to our game.
3 New Maps!
- New Ballrace Map: GLXY
- New Minigolf Map: Alpine
- New Virus Map: Overtime
Changes:
- Steam Cloud support added for Condos. Your condo data will now save on Steam Cloud
- More optimizations made to the Plaza Map, tests show up to 20 fps for some users in many areas of the map. This will be more noticeable for those with older PCs, less on newer. Optimizations will continue to be made in future updates
- Linux P2P Condo to Lobby connections now work!
- Store transactions have been improved and are now way faster
- Added local chat (so you can stay connected to P2P, but talk to just your Condo). Just press tab while typing to switch channels
- Fireworks are now finished!
- Trampolines now bounce players in the direction they face
- Hid media screen info after 5 seconds of starting or last Q pressed time
- You can now toggle off HUD key prompts in Settings > Gameplay
- Dynamic media lights are disabled by default now and can be toggled on in Settings > Graphics > Media
- You can open the fridge now
- Removed the Fridge and Toilet from the Condo as you should use the items instead
- You can now press R to reset rotations on the item you are dragging
Fixes:
- Fixed dragging items having terrible rotations on the walls
- Fixed pause menu and Condo menus quickly closing with low FPS
- Fixed Minigolf trails not always working
- Fixed Minigolf not correctly scoring late joining players
- Fixed seats not ejecting players to the correct position; often falling through the ground
Fixed Virus weapons sometimes appearing out of the hands of other players- Fixed the computer screen being upside down
- Fixed small openings on the Condo doorways
- Fixed being able to move wearables in Inventory
- Fixed chat CTRL+A and arrow keys not always working properly
- Fixed theater display turning off when you hit the ceiling
- Fixed items in store cart not being previewable
Update for dedicated server owners:
We’ve made a few improvements to allow multiple servers on one machine:
- Fixed ‘-Port=7778’ command-line flag not working as intended
- Custom TowerServer.ini files can be specified via the command-line with ‘TowerServerINI=Custom.ini’
- Hosting a dedicated server on the same machine as the game client is possible with the ‘-nosteamclient’ flag
