TU Stream Summary for November 10th, 2017

Here’s a nice summary for everything shown off in today’s stream! (These probably aren’t listed in order from when they were shown on stream)
VOD-

The stream begins at 0:42.
  • (Starts at 1:32) Some of the minigolf course, Odyssey was shown on stream. In Odyssey, everyone goes from the Sun, all the way to Pluto. Johanna demonstrated how levels will work. Before the game starts, the order of planets and moons you visit will be randomized. For example, on one game you’ll be on Mars on hole 7, but the next game you’ll be on Phobos on hole 7 in the next game you play. There will be 2 holes in every planet/moon you visit.

  • (Starts at 5:20) Johanna attempted to show off some remodeled Virus weapons, but she was unfortunately only able to show the plasma rifle. During showing off the gun, Johanna’s GPU died due to launching MS Paint. (This tragic event occurs at 5:27)

  • (Starts at 6:38) The Copycat portable tool was shown off. Currently, you can copy the exact properties of an item (such as stairs or canvases) and apply them to another item. You can’t copy the properties of laser projectors yet.

  • (Starts at 13:55) B-hopping (bunny hopping) and surfing (not ocean surfing) were shown off. You can jump repeatedly for momentum and slide on angled walls. you will be able to position items such as wood/concrete walls or canvases on an angle to make your own B-hopping course in your condo.

  • (Starts at 18:09) The Autumn Lobby was shown off on stream. All the trees’ leaves are colored for the season and bushes are replaced with piles of leaves.

  • (Starts at 18:48) There are some fresh new shaders for the ocean. The ocean is clearer than it was before.

  • (Starts at 20:10) The exterior of the theatre/theater was updated. the walls and roof got more extra details and later on, there will be a board that shows what’s currently playing in the theater rooms outside.

  • (Starts at 23:37) The interior of Central Circuit (the electronics store) was completely remodeled. The store is now longer than it was before and there are now displays for every fake brand of electronics and appliances. Central Circuit’s remodeling is about 95% finished. The other stores will be remodeled in the future as well, and after Central Circuit, Rob’s Imports will be remodeled next.

  • (Starts at 27:03) The pirate gun was shown off. It will be used for minigames, fishing, the ocean expansion, and condos.

  • (Starts at 28:42) Fishing gameplay was shown off. The first half of gameplay (the attracting the fish part) is finished. You catch a fish by attracting it to your bait, and then when the fish plucks the bait, you click to reel it in. The second half of gameplay (the reeling in the fish part) is currently un-fin-ished, as when you click to reel the fish in, you immediately get the fish. Every player in the same plaza will be able to see what fish you’re currently catching, but will not be able to steal your fish.

  • (Starts at 33:56) QnA starts. There were nice conversations about different types of shoe (such as a slow shoe and speed shoes) and conversations about how the devs could possibly make a behind the scenes video about Tower Unite, as well as a fun fact about the shooting gallery ride.

Do they say when they plan on adding bhop movement? I’m gonna stop working on my parkour condo so I can plan a bhop map in my condo :smiley_cat:

Running MS Paint requires an extreme amount of power and thus it can be a risky thing for any GPU.
Not many has been able to stand up to it and survive long enough to tell the tale, thus it has earned the nickname “Destroyer of GPUs”, something it deserves well.
