Is the Tower of the Ancients like the War of the Ancients from WoW?
A grand battle took place, fighting over the one true tower.

From a quick Google search, it seems like it was an old puzzle game. I have no idea why it’s showing up as Tower’s name, though; I haven’t installed anything like it on my machine.

I don’t think it has much to do with anything besides being a cool easter egg. I wonder how long it’s been there though, I’m surprised we’ve just now found it.

I don’t think it’s an easter egg, honestly. I think it’s just a weird bug with finding the app name from the .exe file. I could have sworn that when I accessed it a while back it didn’t say that at all.

This is on the Nvidia Control Panel, by the way, at the “Manage 3D Settings” area under the Program Settings tab. I’m curious to see if anyone else gets this as well…

Just checked and it says it for me too.

Just did a quick google search and the exe file for the Tower of the Ancients game is also called tower.exe. So if Nvidia is just going by the exe name then I can see why it could get confused.
