Srly the game is almost dead
It has been said before that Mac only truly wants to promote the game at things like cons and sites when the game is at a point where it’s fleshed out.
I’d say it’s a better move as they’re just cautious, promote a game that has very little to do and you receive bad reviews/press.
Have a game that has a lot to do and experience and you have a game that will keep people coming back.

Honestly I’d rather they get the word out about the game in 6-12 months when its more complete. It’s enjoyable and stuff as is but I think it would be best displayed later on.
