Player count surge

Got on last night and saw “412 players online” and was like “wow, thats about… 200 more than usual”. Check the plaza server list, with my usual Chicago being 64/64 and several others in the 30s. Was initially excited to see that, but mannnnn when I got into Chicago god did the community vibe feel tainted… The chat was just horrendous; nothing but meemers and arguing and immature banter. Was so bad I actually turned off chat in the options for a bit just to enjoy myself in Casino.

Such a rock in a hard place situation; I’ve been saying I’m anxious for a boost in player count to make the game feel more alive, but I almost miss the quieter servers when it was just the usual crowd and positive conversations. But I digress. #endrant

So basically just like Gmod tower’s chat.

There could’ve been a famous YouTuber or streamer on at the time, though I wasn’t a part of the event so I wouldn’t know. I completely agree that more players should be a good thing, but that it also equals chaos and not the fun kind. In my opinion, enough time and care will eventually lead to a very large and friendly community. :]

There was a TU thing on the FP of reddit, it was a “cousin lets go bowling” joke.

And Christmas let a lot of the people who didnt have PC’s to run the game or the money to buy it start playing.

Can someone please link me that?

I bought it (again) for me and a friend during the winter sale, and I can understand what you mean.

But it’s not like the chat has been necessarily toxic, from what I’ve seen, just people having fun, and spreading memes, and thats what alot of people like to do.
