Hello all.
As of today, the Open Trivia Database is now HTTPS enabled. This means all login information and general browsing of the database is done over a secure connection, with a certificate provided by the Let’s Encrypt initiative. Along with the main site, the API is now operating over a secure connection.
The primary reason behind the addition of HTTPS is that I would like to look into implementing the SQRL Login System as a alternative method of logging in, which in turn requires HTTPS. While this won’t be done right away, this was the motivating factor.
While I realize for many this won’t matter much, I just wanted to drop in and say that this functionality is added to the site.
