Wow Laser Tag is almost done! I’m excited to see how it fares against the other mini game, but the only thing I don’t like about it is how it’s near the end of the map and should be put in the Gameworld.

Yea but have you seen the entire list and how much is finished?

Stuff can be added at any time. And not to mention bug testing, and fixing anything that was broken. I’d be surprised if it released this month.

Why? There’s literally no reason for it to be it’s own Gameworld. I’d say that could even hurt it.

Yeah, having that consistency between the lobby and the game i’d imagine would be really nice for Laser Tag. Especially since it’s a lobby game and not from a gameworld port, it wouldn’t make sense for it to be separated from the lobby.

Well if you mean that it being it’s own map instead of being right in the lobby, then I’m pretty sure that it is going to be exactly like any other game mode, where you have to connect to a host and load in.

If you mean you want it on the boardwalk instead of the gamemode hub, well then never mind lol

Laser Tag is part of Lobby 100%. The only “load” is loading the arena, but it’s done seamlessly and you stay on the same server.

Laser Tag introduced some interesting problems, which are now solved.

Laser Tag is the first Lobby game (and not the last) to completely override the Lobby HUD and Lobby controls. It is what I call a phase 2 Lobby game.

Laser Tag is also the:

  • First shooter game in Tower that has full movement controls (jumping, crouch, and sprinting are all enabled)
  • First PVP game in Tower
  • First Lobby game that you do not sit down for while waiting or playing
  • First Lobby game with spectating
  • First Lobby game with teams (up to 4)
  • First Lobby game that completely isolates and immerses players into a separate part of the Lobby

Laser Tag is a great demonstration of the immensely flexible gamebase that Tower Unite has (albeit with overhaul changes done in previous patches).

That’s actually pretty impressive.

So essentially, it’s like the Casino, where there is definitely a load (you can tell it’s there, but it’s not horrid), but it’s still in the same map?
