First Person body visual

It would be nice to have an option which keeps your character model whilst in first person excluding the head, so that you can view your own body in any situation, such as walking, sitting or etc. With another option to disable viewing specific parts especially effects as they might be obscuring.

If you go into First Person your character model is visible for a fraction of time so I believe that this could be simple to implement.

But, what do I know about programming?

We had the player model visible in first person in a couple early builds of TU. There’s issues that come up such as crouching (you can see your headless body) and other similar issues.

It could be fixed, but we would need to animate the legs separately from the third person version.

Sounds like a post-release/late development kind of feature.

Movement would be hard to correctly set up with it, especially if you do the entire body and have to work around the view models.

Sitting seems considerably easier though.
