Can we please edit posts even if they’re very old? I always feel guilty bothering Caboose to edit things.

The reason for this limitation is so old posts stand through time for archival purposes. It would be nice if there was a setting per thread (for mega threads and such), but there isn’t with Discourse. Basically, I could allow editing of old posts, but then people could abuse it and remove their old post, which a couple people already did.

What about just expanding the edit / reply times a bit to a few days instead of a few hours? I feel that’s a good compromise in the meantime.
Also, Mac, if you want Discourse to implement a per-thread/post edit/delete time setting, you might want to request it on their forum.
