Daily Dev Log for September 25th, 2017
Hey everyone! Here’s what everyone on the team has been working on over the course of today, September 25th, 2017.
@Zak helped @macdguy with some C++ code. Specifically, finding values in an array using a lambda predicate and then adjusting the value of a struct when the value exists in the array, but also inserting a new value in the array if a struct entry for said value doesn't already exist in the array. He also wrote up a bunch of pseudo code for the Chat UI to figure out a good design pattern for getting data from each discrete chat message into it's SWidget without hard-coding each parameter mapping.
@macdguy tested the latest build, and increased the player speed back to regular speed. He fixed a couple bugs such as the inventory ghost slot showing the counter, and the canvas always being set as pending when first spawned. He continued working on the Plaza Minigames, setting up a system to properly store the scores for the physical scoreboard. The physical scoreboard was completed, and the backend of the scoring system was remade to support players who disconnect or leave the minigame area.
@Lifeless fixed various issues in the Plaza to get ready for the 0.3.6.1 update.
@Matt worked on a speedloader for the revolver model.
@MrSunabouzu continued working on art for Zombie Massacre.
@Madmijk continued working on a gameplay element for the upcoming Minigolf map, Odyssey.
@Johanna is out of town.
@Caboose700 transcribed the meeting notes, and finished creating the implementation of the Moderation API. He also configured both the Moderation API and Global Chat databases on the Central Server, and started configuring the Central Server itself.
@donglekumquat continued working on music for Zombie Massacre, worked on gun sound foley's, and worked on Plaza music loops.
@Krionikal continued experimenting with art for Zombie Massacre.
@Deniz fixed the antialiasing bug today. He is looking into upgrading some deprecated engine code and making sure the options menu is using the new system (not the old convar system).
That’s what everyone at PixelTail Games has been working on today! See you all tomorrow!
