Daily Dev Log for October 8th, 2017
Hey everyone! Here’s what everyone on the team has been working on over the course of today, October 8th, 2017.
@Zak fixed a bug with voice chat.
@macdguy cleaned up the menu a bit, and made the condo server browser better. He fixed an issue with the dialogue and item reward UI's colliding. He added a player limit slider and Condo Title for Condo Hosting, reduced the CPU usage of the screamer fireworks, reduced the shininess of plants, and started looking into a way to show when a media player is active, even if it's not on.
He also worked on the Dialogue system, updating the dialogue text events for giving items, and added more dialogue events for giving items and other special cases. He also added support for dialogue sounds (chatter, enter, leave, emotions), and support for custom character talk speeds. He fixed a bug with the dialogue system causing crashing, and implemented shaky text into the dialogue system.
Lastly, he worked a bit on Halloween, hashing out some additional plans with @Foohy for handling some of the events, and started finding various sound effects for the items being made.
@Foohy exposed GetItemQuanity to blueprint for an upcoming update, fixed a small crash in the dialogue system, tested some new Halloween item functionality, and added a new SphereSpwanner for easily letting mappers specify spawn ranges.
@Caboose700 approved and rejected a bunch of Trivia Questions.
@donglekumquat continued working on Plaza Music.
